Flu Season Campaign 2026

As we venture into the flu season, it’s crucial to recognise the pivotal role that we as community pharmacists play in safeguarding our patients. Amidst the challenges posed by infectious diseases, local pharmacists stand as frontline guardians, offering not only essential medications but also easy access to vital information and preventive measures. In the battle against the flu, Pharmacists emerge as beacons of health education and vaccination advocacy.

Local community pharmacists are uniquely positioned to provide easy access to flu vaccinations and vital health information. With their extensive training and expertise, pharmacists serve as trusted healthcare advisors within their communities. They possess in-depth knowledge of immunization schedules, vaccine efficacy, and potential side effects, enabling them to address any concerns or misconceptions individuals may have about flu vaccination.

Pharmacists are vital to the public for all health needs, on average, patients visit their local community pharmacist nearly twice as often as their GP.

This accessibility is crucial in underserved areas, ensuring that the biggest segment of our population has access to vital vaccinations (including the flu vaccine).
