The sale of complementary medicine by a pharmacy has become a cause for concern due to the uncertainties which exist regarding the registration of the products with the Medicine Control Council (MCC). The MCC has mandated the registration of certain categories of complementary medicine and the sale of these complementary medicines not complying with this legislation is prohibited.
