DISCOVERY ADVERTISING FREE FLU VACCINATIONS DELIVERED TO YOUR DOORSTEP

It has come to our attention that Discovery in conjunction with Uber and Dis-Chem conducted a promotion whereby the medical aid scheme member receives the administration of a flu vaccine (Schedule 2 medicine) for free by only paying a contribution of R100 towards the administrating nurse's taxi ride.
We believe that this is in contravention of Section 18A of the "Medicines Act" where it states that
"no person shall supply any medicine according to a bonus system, rebate system or any other incentive scheme". ICPA has accordingly, lodged a complaint with the Medicines Control Council.
